Urbanization brings along with it a lack of space in almost everywhere. Limited space has been haunting us through and we just want to squeeze in more things into our store room. There are many tips and tricks that can help maximize the use of your store room space!

Go Vertical

Going vertical is the best way to maximize storage space. Height is one of the most overlooked things when staring things and people do not realize the huge amount of space they can get from going vertical. Make use of tall shelves that can allow you to store your things.

Use hidden storage

There is plenty of hidden storage that we may not even be aware of! We can actually hang accessories on the back of the doors to save some space in the drawers. We can also install additional storage racks in cabinets to further increase the space.

Using cardboards

Cardboard are excellent storage tools for storing things that you rarely use. Instead of trying to store in the cabinets or drawers, dump them all inside a cardboard and place them at a corner of the storeroom. You can even stack multiple boxes all the way to the ceiling to maximize space!

Multi-level shelves

Installing multi-level shelves are an efficient method to not only create neater storage spaces but also fully utilize and maximize the shelves' storage capabilities. You can increase the storage space by nearly 5 times if you use multi-level shelves.

Using wastepaper baskets

A wastepaper basket can double up as an excellent alternative for storing items that are difficult to fit into other places such as your hockey balls, golf balls, ping pong balls and other similar items. You can also place badminton racquets, golf clubs, umbrellas and hockey sticks in wastepaper baskets for easy retrieval when the need comes.

Get rid of items

Getting rid of items is probably the easiest way to maximize the use of your store room. Throw away things that you have not touched for a year. Take time to go through all your blessings and put away things that you do not need. You can even sell them at a flea market or donate them to charity! You will be amazed at the sudden extra space you have after clearing out your store room.

It actually does not take much of an effort to maximize whatever space you have currently. Space is always there but they are not fully utilized. All it takes is some minor modification to whatever storage aids you have now and you will realize there is so much more hidden spaces that you can use.
